<div>First lets start with the basics, P90X is a 90 day at home fitness routine. It uses what Tony Horton has coined as &#8220;muscle confusion&#8221; to prevent hitting a plateau in your training. P90x combines cardio, strength training, core training, and flexibility into its workouts.   The program has three &#8220;rotations&#8221;—classic, lean, and doubles, we did the classic so this review will be focusing on that rotation.</div>

<div>The program not only gives you amazing workouts, but it gives you a very great nutrition guide.  Along with the guide it provides an easy list of foods that are more and less favorable to consume while working out. There are the obvious good foods such as fruits and vegetables, and then there are the obvious bad foods such as pastries, desserts, and soda pop. I really like the food guide though because there are five levels of foods and it explains to you which ones you can have all the time and which ones you should consume in moderation or not at all.</div>

<div>A word of caution. These workout are extremely intense but very effective. If you follow along as best you can throughout the workout your stamina will improve and so will your overall fitness.  I began seeing results after the first two weeks. They weren&#8217;t dramatic, but all good things take time, and it made me feel good knowing that things were starting to change. The workout routines run from around 50 minutes to 80 minutes depending on which routing you are doing that day. This time also includes a five to ten minute warm up and a five to ten minute cool down. P90x recommends you  do a minimum of six workout routines a week with the seventh day left as a stretch day or a do an optional relaxation day.</div>

<div>Unlike I expected, the p90x workouts were fun. I never felt bored, or that I was doing the same thing day after day. You target a new group of muscles each day so you never over work any certain area, but you will be sore for the first week or so. Tony Horton is also a very engaging instructor and host. He has a light and comical aura that made me laugh throughout the workouts. He also made me feel compelled to work my hardest and finish the workouts, even when I was exhausted.  But he also always stresses good form and quitting before you hurt yourself.  He is so likable, I almost felt as though he would know I was quitting and would be disappointed in me.  Haha! all in all i would say that P90X is a very worthwhile workout routine. The online help and support you get is wonderful too. You can chat with fellow P90X&#8217;ers and find helpful tips, tricks, and recipes to help you continue your weight loss or fitness journey.  They also offer daily prizes in the &#8220;Million Dollar Body Game&#8221; like iPods, digital camera&#8217;s and more for just logging your daily workouts on your Beachbody account that comes with p90x. One of the main things that sold me about P90x was the 90 day money back guarantee.  If I was not 100% happy I could get my money back, however I was much happier than I could have imagined.</div>

<p>I can&#8217;t believe the results I have seen so far and it&#8217;s only week 4!! I admit I am not perfect when it comes to the diet, but I try to eat as healthy as possible, as much as I can. Granted there are times when the only things before you are fast food, or you just don&#8217;t feel like eating a salad. I have found that if I constantly deprive myself of the food I want, it makes me crave it even more. Everything is ok in moderation in my book <img src='http://www.fitnesstrainingreview.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt="icon smile P90x Workout Reviews: Day 29 Pictures and Measurements" class='wp-smiley' title="P90x Workout Reviews: Day 29 Pictures and Measurements" />  maybe not in Tony&#8217;s, but sometimes you just need a cheeseburger! anyway, things are definitely changing body wise for me. My abs are by far the most noticeable change on me I think. These workout never get boring. Even after weeks of doing them, they are still challenging. There is always something to strive for! School is kicking into high gear here. We are in the home stretch so it&#8217;s going to be a challenge trying to balance school, working out, and working to make money. But I&#8217;m sure I will manage. Staying positive and focused is the key. I&#8217;m going to kick school&#8217;s butt, X style!</p>

<p>This is going much faster than I thought it would, I thought these 90 days would go very slow since I have been changing my diet so far from my comfort zone, however it is going really well.  I can definitely see and feel results, I also seem to be having more energy throughout the day.  With the progress I have made thus far, I am really excited to see the final p90x results.</p>

<p>I enjoyed the change of pace in week 4.  Core Synergistics is an intense workout that I enjoyed, but I&#8217;m glad I don&#8217;t have to do it again for a while! I am really looking forward to working out my upper body again and can&#8217;t wait to do the new workouts.  I&#8217;m ready to make more progress on my abs and keep doing as many reps as I can.  Doing P90x everyday is no longer a chore and actually something I like doing each day.  I look forward to hearing how your progress is coming along.</p>

<p>So week 3 is over and done with. I am definitely seeing improvements. My overall stamina has increased and I am much stronger. Compared to Week 1, I&#8217;m like the hulk! Well maybe not the hulk per-say, I&#8217;m not green and ripping my clothes off in a rage. But I can tell things are progressing. I am looking forward to week 4, recovery week. It will be nice to have a different line up. Time has gone pretty fast. I feel like the more I keep at it, it easier it will be to finish. It is hard to stick with something, but I&#8217;m in it for the long haul, and the benefits definitely outweigh giving up. Staying strong!!!</p>

<p>Week two started off strong and then got finished fairly week with my trip to Texas.  I skipped one day&#8217;s workout and then had to double up the next day which was the best thing to do.  I not only ate the first fastfood since starting P90x, I ate it 3 times while I was there.  I could not pass up the opportunity to try sonic, chick-fil-a, and jack in the box, since I had always heard people talk about them but had never been able to try them.  I also ate ribs one night which were delicious however not very P90x friendly.  I will have to work especially hard on my diet more this coming week since it is recovery week.</p>

<p>Bryan 3/22/2010</p>
<p>Week 3 went very well. Sticking with P90X is becoming easier and easier to do as time goes on.  I am able to do more of the workouts so it isn&#8217;t as daunting as when you first start off and get winded so quickly.  I feel really good and have good energy.  My piece of advice is to just keep pressing play day in and day out. On those days where you just dont have much time or energy you should go ahead and play the video and start the workout.  Getting 20 minutes of a workout in is much better than skipping it.  Skipping one day alone isn&#8217;t bad of course, but when it turns to two days you are on a slippery slope.</p>

<p>Chelsea: 3/15/2010    Weight: 125 lbs (+1.2 lbs)</p>
<p>Well the second week has come and gone, and well, as with human nature, I am getting impatient. I want results now. Now! Now! Now! I want rock hard abs and chiseled shoulders, but I know they will come with time. This week went really well. We are on spring break here for this coming week, so there is no school to slow me down. (thats right, I am doing p90x for my spring break) Ok, so maybe I&#8217;m working at my job too. Anyway, great things to come! Stay active people!</p>

<p>Chris: 3/15/2010    Weight: 152.5 lbs (+7.5lbs &#8211; remember my goal is to gain weight not loose it)</p>
<p>Week two is complete and things are going great.  I feel like the hardest part is done and now I just have to keep pushing play.  I didn&#8217;t do quite as well with my diet this week, I started falling back into my fewer and larger meals, so I need to focus extra hard this coming week.  I can tell that I am getting stronger and my muscles are getting larger as well, I can&#8217;t wait to see what happens after 75 more days!</p>

<p>Week 2 I had a bit more confidence then week 1 and started noticing a difference in energy level.  Week 1 was rough on me because, probably like most of you, I went from doing very little with not a great diet to an intense workout each day with better eating habits.  Week 2 I was more anxious to get in the daily workout and had an increase in energy level. My appetite is better, I eat more often because I am active and burning calories.  Becoming super fit is such a gradual process, or that is how it is working out for me, that I realize P90x and fitness in general is a lifestyle.  A lifestyle that I look to keep for many years to come.</p>

<p>Chelsea: 3/8/2010    Weight: 124 lbs  (+.2 lbs)</p>
<p>Overall this week was productive. I fell the burn and I am very sore, but I know it is worth it. My calves are hating me the most out of any muscle this week. I am looking forward to the weeks to come. To all you fellow p90x-ers out there&#8230;how long did it take before your muscles stopped getting sore?</p>

<p>Chris: 3/8/2010    Weight:  151.8 lbs (+6.8lbs &#8211; remember my goal is to gain weight not loose it)</p>
<p>I cant believe that week one is over.  I have really struggled with my diet this week as I came from such a terrible diet.  I usually ate only two meals a day, and they were usually fast food including lots of soda.  I have managed to not have soda once this week, and I have prepared every single meal.  Since my goal is to gain weight I have been eating more calories but also much healthier foods.  I have been eating at least one <a href="http://www.fitnesstrainingreview.com/shakeology.html">Shakeology shake</a> with two scoops of added protein each day along with a protein bar sometime during the day.  I have also been working my way up to 6 meals per day.  I know I put on some weight however I think the 6.8 lbs may have been a bit skewed since I did not weight myself at the same time both days which is a big no-no.   Hopefully I will end up around 160 by the end of 90 days.</p>

<p>Week 1 went about as well as I could have hoped for.  Although, I did have soreness in my arms and legs that lasted for several days that I wish I didn&#8217;t have. Other than that I just felt better every day because I knew i was being active and doing my body a great favor.  Now that I have made it passed the first week I am confident I will make it through the whole 90 day program.  I can&#8217;t wait to see my future results!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<!-- Start Shareaholic LikeButtonSetTop Automatic --><!-- End Shareaholic LikeButtonSetTop Automatic --><p>It has been almost 8 months since Jason, Chelsea, and I stopped doing P90x not even 1/3rd of the way done.  Unfortunately some unexpected events in life caused me to put P90x on hold, and Chelsea and Jason followed suit.</p>
<p>I am happy to announce that as of Monday, March 1st Jason, Chelsea, Myself, and another friend Bryan will all be starting P90x again!  Fergal will have his own blog added to the webpage and we will follow the same drill.  Daily blog posts about the workout, with weekly pictures taken every Sunday.  If there is enough interest we may try to incorporate some videos into the blog as well.</p>
<p>A lot of other people have been getting great results with P90x, and we hope to do the same.  Feel free to <a href="http://www.fitnesstrainingreview.com/subscribe/">subscribe</a> to the feed or check back soon to see if P90x lives up to all the hype and check out our progress.</p>
