When they tell you to pace yourself in the beginning, they aren’t kidding! I made it about 25 minutes in, threw up and my arms weigh a million pounds. Wow.

I can barely move my arms to write this blog but it’s a good feeling. I’ve been putting this p90x program off for quite some time and I finally started today. I don’t think I would have the motivation to do this on my own and that is why I have a great group of friends that are completing the program with me.Chris and his wife Chelsea will be doing the P90x workouts with me. While Krystal will be doing the Insanity challenge with her neighbor.

One of the great things about these home training programs are the ability to train with others without being in the same room. You don’t need to be in a gym, you don’t have to have too many pieces of equipment and you get to do it all in the privacy of your own home. I wouldn’t want a whole bunch of people seeing how pathetic that first workout was, but I’m sure its that way for the majority of the people that start this program. The most important part of this training program is completing it. I’m looking for ideas, comments or anything that could help me reach this goal.

I currently weigh 180 lbs. I don’t wan’t to lose much weight but I want to get to under 12% body fat. I feel like this is a great program for me to build lean mass and get stronger while maintaining a healthy weight.

During my workout i’ll be wearing my Jawbone UP fitness tracker. This will give me an accurate caloric burn over the course of the program and will give you a good idea on just how tough this workouts can be. Take note, I won’t be going all out in the first couple weeks because as I learned today, I need to pace myself and work on completing each individual workout.

All in all, I’m glad I finally started the program. I’m super excited to stick with it and see what kind of results I’m capable of. Stay tuned for more updates, pictures, and videos!
