Chelsea P90x Workout Reviews: Day 7

Day 7: Stretch X or Rest

Well evidently the whole crew took the day off including myself.  The week was rough, but I am looking forward to the weeks to come, and the included progress I am expecting to see.  My calves seem to have taken the most abuse, every time I sit down they tighten up really quickly.  I hope I can see some results from the pictures tomorrow.

    Hi Chelsea,

Congratulations on restarting P90X! You can do it!

Chris found my website and I have been checking up on you all periodically this week. I just wanted to say that you REALLY need that stretch day. Your calves will feel a lot better after Stretch X.

I was speaking with a fitness trainer the other day and telling them about the P90X routine (3 days resistance/3 days of cardio and yoga). They were a little shocked about the amount of strain on the body. They said that it was ok, “as long as you are stretching like crazy.” They were relieved to hear about the 7th day of stretch.

I know it is nice to take the day off after working so hard, but you might be risking injury. Besides, Stretch X is so relaxing compared to the other workouts.

Keep up the good work! You are doing great!

    Pete
