Day 8: Chest and Back, Ab Ripper X

I am very pleased to say that I did much better this round. I decided to start with 10 reps on the push up exercises and I made it almost the entire way through without going to my knees. I did have to do a few of the diamond push ups from my knees, but that is ok since those ones are so tough. I could also tell that I was able to use my legs less throughout the pull-up portion. I have really grown to like the P90x pull-up bar due to its extreme portability. I can have it hidden in my closet, and less than 10 seconds later be using it in my doorway. It feels very secure and does not move at all throughout the workout. I have also been keeping a close eye on my door frame for any damage and there is not even the slightest mark. I jumped up from 25’s to 45’s for the “Heavy Pants” and “Lawnmower” exercises today. Unfortunately 45’s are currently my heaviest dumbbells and I believe I will need something heavier after a couple more weeks. Ab Ripper was once again very tough and caused me to want to quit almost instantly. Every time I see the black guy in the video move it re-motivates me though, that guy’s stomach puts washboards to shame! Hopefully my stomach will be at least a fraction as strong as his by the end.

I think my pictures are showing a bit of improvement, and I can definitely feel improvement so I just need to keep my motivation up and keep on going, I am definitely on my way to some great results.
